Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit Cassuna UK (cassuna.com/uk) and what rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Controller

Görres Facility Management GmbH
Gewerbegebiet Zingsheim Süd 39
53947 Nettersheim
Germany

Email: info@cassuna.com

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, which processes the connection data required to deliver the pages on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

3. Server log files

Each request is logged automatically: IP address, date and time, requested address and amount of data, status, browser and operating system, referring page. This data is needed to run and protect the website, is not combined with other data and is deleted after 30 days at the latest. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

No cookies are needed simply to use this website. We only store what is strictly necessary (see our cookie policy). Anything else requires your consent, which we ask for when you first visit. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

5. Fonts

All fonts are served from our own server. No connection to third-party font services is made.

6. Visitor statistics without cookies (Umami)

We count page views and clicks on shop links with Umami, which we host ourselves on our own server in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, Falkenstein, as processor). Umami does not use cookies or store anything on your device, does not store your full IP address and does not create profiles across websites. We see only aggregated figures, for example how many visitors came from Instagram. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding which looks are of interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

7. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is not used on Cassuna UK.

7a. Meta Pixel (only with your consent)

If you consent to “Marketing”, we use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. Meta then learns which Cassuna pages you view and whether you open a product link. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account, which allows us to show you Cassuna ads there and to measure how our ads perform. Cookies are set (including _fbp, up to 90 days), and data such as your IP address, browser details and the page viewed is sent to Meta. We and Meta are joint controllers for collecting and transmitting this data (Article 26 UK GDPR; Meta's controller addendum: facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum); Meta alone is responsible for any further processing. Data may be transferred to the USA; Meta is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR, regulation 6 PECR). Without consent the pixel is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Meta's privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.

7b. Newsletter (only if you sign up)

If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address, the time and IP address of your sign-up and of your confirmation, and the wording of your consent (double opt-in). Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. We only send the newsletter after you have confirmed your address via the link in our email. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by writing to info@cassuna.com; we then stop sending and keep only the proof of your consent and unsubscription. If you sign up through a form in our Facebook or Instagram ads, you give your consent there by ticking a required box; that sign-up takes effect immediately, without a separate confirmation email. As a record we store your email address, the time, the wording of your consent and the Meta form and lead IDs, and we send you a welcome email with a one-click unsubscribe link. Meta Platforms passes the data to us via the automation service Make (Celonis, s.r.o., Prague).

8. Affiliate links (Amazon.co.uk)

The “Buy at Amazon” links are affiliate links of the Amazon.co.uk Associates Programme. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click such a link, you go to Amazon.co.uk; the link contains our partner ID so that Amazon can attribute a purchase to us. Amazon may set cookies on its own website for this purpose. Amazon is responsible for processing on its website (Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l., 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg, and Amazon UK Services Ltd.). We receive no personal data about you from Amazon — only anonymous sales reports.

9. Country check

To offer you the right version of Cassuna (UK or Germany), your browser asks our server once per visit which country your connection comes from. Your IP address is compared with a database stored on our own server and is neither stored nor passed on. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing you the right shop and prices (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Your choice of country is stored in the cookie cassuna_markt only if you choose one. IP geolocation by DB-IP.

10. Videos

Some look pages embed a YouTube video in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google Ireland Limited). When the page loads, your browser connects to YouTube’s servers and transmits your IP address; YouTube sets cookies only once you play the video.

11. Social media

We link to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest. These are plain links: no data is sent to the platforms until you click them.

12. Contact by email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) or (f) UK GDPR. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

13. International transfers

We store and process data in Germany. The UK recognises the European Economic Area as providing adequate protection (adequacy regulations), so transfers from the UK to Germany are permitted.

14. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, email info@cassuna.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.

15. No automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
